Boulder's mold removal team
You found mold, or you can smell it, and now you want a straight answer. That is what we do. Mold Removal Boulder Co. handles mold and nothing else, for homes across Boulder County and the north Denver metro.
We are not a fire-and-flood franchise that also does mold on the side. Every crew we send has worked the same damp basements, tight crawl spaces, and cold attics that cause most of the mold problems around here. Call us and you will talk to someone who can tell you what you are likely dealing with and what it should cost.
A local specialist, not a restoration franchise
Mold Removal Boulder Co. started with one idea. Mold is its own trade, and it should be handled by people who do only that. Most companies that show up to a mold job also chase fire, storm, and cleanout work. We do not.
That focus shows up in the work. We know why a Gunbarrel crawl space grows mold and a Lyons basement does not, in the same week. We know what a swamp cooler does to an upstairs closet by August. We bring that to every job, whether it is one bathroom wall or a whole finished basement.

Learn moreHow our process works
Step 1: Inspect and find the moisture
Mold is a water problem first. We look for the leak, the condensation, the grading issue, or the humidity feeding it. Fix that and the mold stays gone.
Step 2: Contain the area
We seal the work zone with sheeting and run negative air so spores do not drift into clean rooms while we work.
Step 3: Remove and treat
We HEPA-vacuum, clean salvageable surfaces, treat with an antimicrobial, and bag and haul what has to go.
Step 4: Test and hand back
We recommend a third-party clearance test. An outside lab checks the air, not us. You get the result in writing.

Where we work
We cover Boulder County and the north Denver metro. That includes Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, Louisville, Superior, Erie, Broomfield, Westminster, Arvada, Golden, and the smaller towns in between like Niwot, Lyons, Nederland, Hygiene, and Gunbarrel.
Inside Boulder, we work every neighbourhood: North Boulder, South Boulder, Table Mesa, Newlands, Chautauqua, University Hill, and Gunbarrel. If you are just outside this list, call and ask. We travel for the right job.
Why homeowners choose us
Mold is all we do
You get a crew that has seen your problem a hundred times, not a general restoration team working off a checklist.
We know Front Range homes
Crawl spaces with no vapour barrier. Swamp coolers running all summer. Ice dams in January. Finished basements built tight with no air movement. These are the local causes, and we look for them.
We test after, not just before
Plenty of companies test to sell you the job. We push for an independent test once the work is done, so you know it worked.
Clear scope, honest quote
We tell you what needs doing and what does not. If a spot of bathroom mold is a weekend job for you and a bottle of cleaner, we will say so.
What mold removal costs around here
Most Boulder-area mold jobs land between about 1,300 and 2,600 dollars. A small patch on one wall can be a few hundred. A whole finished basement, or heavy black mold that has spread into framing, can run several thousand. The two things that move the price are the size of the moldy area and how hard it is to reach.
We give you a written figure before any work starts, and we break it down: containment, filtration, removal, cleaning, and the clearance test. If your problem is small enough to handle yourself, we will tell you that instead of quoting a job.
Serving the Boulder community
We are a small local outfit, not a call centre routing your job to whoever is closest. The person who quotes your work is usually on site for it. We live and work in the same county, deal with the same swamp coolers and crawl spaces in our own homes, and plan to be here next year when you need the clearance paperwork for a sale.
That also means we care about doing it once. A job that grows mold back in a year is bad for you and bad for our name in a place this size.

Common mold questions
How much does mold removal cost in Boulder?
Most Boulder-area mold jobs land between about 1,300 and 2,600 dollars. Small spots can be a few hundred. A whole finished basement or heavy black mold can run several thousand. Size of the area and how hard it is to reach are the big factors.
Is black mold dangerous?
Any indoor mold can affect air quality and may bother people with allergies or asthma. Colour alone does not tell you how risky it is. What matters is how much there is and whether people are breathing it in. We handle dark mold with full containment as a matter of course.
What is the difference between mold removal and remediation?
They are used to mean the same thing. Remediation is the industry word for the whole process: containment, cleaning, removal of ruined materials, treatment, and fixing the moisture source. You cannot make a home mold-free forever, but you can get it back to normal levels and keep it there.
How long does mold remediation take?
A single room is often one to three days. A basement or a job with hidden damage behind walls can take a week or more. Drying out the moisture source can add time. We give you a schedule with the estimate.
Does homeowners insurance cover mold removal?
Sometimes. Many policies cover mold if it came from a sudden covered event, like a burst pipe. Mold from a slow leak or old humidity is usually not covered. Check your policy and call your agent. We can document the cause for your claim.
